Being a Chattanooga Home Inspector is such an honor! I am Melanie Crabtree, owner of Full Disclosure Property Inspection. Now in my 14 th year serving Greater Chattanooga and North Georgia, (including Hamilton, Sequatchie, Meigs, Rhea, McMinn, Bradley, Marion and Bledsoe counties in Tennessee, as well as Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Whitfield and Murray counties in Georgia) after a life-long career in construction and land development, I bring 45+ years of experience within related industries to the table. I am a Certified Master Inspector, have performed over 6,000 inspections, and currently serve as State President for The Home Inspectors of Tennessee Association. A prior 27-year career including being a licensed General Contractor, Commercial Builder and Developer, affords me the knowledge to EXPLAIN issues. Knowledge is Power for a home buyer/seller! I not only inspect new and pre-loved homes, I do “ground-up, multiple-visit” inspections for quality assurance on new builds. From digging the footings to the finished product, I contribute a fresh set of eyes at the important points in the process, to double-check what you will not be able to see or correct once the home is completed. They tell you on the front page of their site that they will hire you as an inspector, no experience needed! It’s about the bottom line for them, quantity over quality. I get calls every week from people wanting to become home inspectors. I always ask them what they do currently, and I hear bartend, insurance, retail, etc. They bring only what they learn in home inspection school to the table. Is that a chance you are willing to take? Clay Crabtree, the in-house inspection coordinator, is also an inspector with many prior years of hands-on experience in remodeling. He takes the calls, sends proposals, and books inspections. Once you retain Full Disclosure Property Inspection, we take it from there. We contact all parties involved in the transaction and schedule everything, usually within days of contacted. (Including scheduling your termite inspection if you like, as a courtesy.) You receive your reports via email the same day, learning about your potential new-to-you home. I prefer to perform the inspection alone, to better keep focus, giving you the best inspection possible. You are not only welcomed but encouraged to attend a review once I have completed the field work, where I will explain/show all findings. I do not make a mountain out of a molehill, nor a molehill out of a mountain. I make sure you understand completely the good and bad, as well as the degree of each.
