The YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga is 150 years old today and serves the Chattanooga and surrounding areas. The Y empowers all people from various walks of life, regardless of age, income, background, race, socioeconomic status or religion to reach their full potential. Our Mission: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The YMCA’s services include various programs that fall into one of three focus areas: Healthy Living, Social Responsibility, or Youth Development. Our programs reach more than 100 areas locally and serve 12 counties in Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia.
